Michelle is a contemporary artist whose work is inspired by a deep fascination with cosmology, philosophy, and the interconnectedness of life. Drawing on her love of nature, yoga, and the rhythms of everyday experience, her paintings explore the dynamic, ever evolving nature of reality.
Working with layered oil paint, Michelle builds richly textured, mosaic like surfaces from which silhouettes of living forms, people, birds, fish, and trees, gradually emerge. Her work invites quiet contemplation, offering a visual reflection on the unseen threads that connect all things.
Her paintings have been exhibited at the Without Pier Gallery and featured in numerous group exhibitions, and are held in private collections throughout Victoria.
Alongside her fine art practice, Michelle has worked extensively as an illustrator across a wide range of styles. Her clients include design studios, publishers, and advertising agencies, with notable collaborations including Coles Myer, Melbourne Museum, Yarra Valley Water, The Age, Australia Post, Penguin Books, Crayola, GQ Magazine, and Loreto/Mandeville Hall. She has also created greeting card collections for publishers in Australia, the UK, and the USA.
Michelle is also a dedicated Iyengar Yoga teacher and the founder of Bayside Yoga, where she shares her passion for yoga and mindful living with her community.
